Bear Naked In the Kitchen
Naked in the kitchen? Yes, I know that’s not sanitary… (Although it does remind me college ornithology field trip where one guy cooked only in an apron — but that is another story…) I don’t mean naked, in the sense of missing clothing. Naked — as in pure, as nature intended — and in this case, the term refers to a delicious brand of granola.
The kids, their friends, and I tasted several varieties of Bear Naked granola yesterday after school and really enjoyed the flavors and textures. While the kids loved tasting each flavor alone, they were especially excited to discover that I had some plain yogurt that we could mix in. “Try this, it’s totally awesome,” encouraged one 6 year old to another.
Their favorite flavor was the Mango Agave Almond (Bear Naked Native Granola). They wanted me to be sure to tell you that there are chunks of dried coconut and mango in it, and that makes it “yummy.”
They also really enjoyed the Vanilla Almond Crunch and said that it makes a “crunchy sound” with each bite. Their
least favorite of the bunch was the Peak Protein all natural variety. It wasn’t as crunchy as the other two flavors and didn’t come with any of the special flavorings or added sweetness that the kids found appealing.
With every bite, they got sillier and sillier, with one 8-year-old saying, “stop laughing, you are making me almost inhale my granola!” Overall, they loved this brand of granola and happily told me, “You are ao lucky that people like to taste test you!” Yes, I am!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that Bear Naked products are free of preservatives and the ingredients are GMO free. Good stuff.
