I love the healthy ideas, particularly the breadstick hearts. I used to be one of those people who laughed at the idea of schools banning sweets, particularly the "no cupcake" schools I would read about. And then I realized that my son was having cupcakes thirteen times in the month of January. Somedays there would be two parties in the same day, both with cupcakes. Lunches came home uneaten - which bothered me.

I can't change his school policy, but I do try very hard to make healthy and fun snacks for special occasion days at school - there seem to be so many more of them than when I was a child.
