Chef Rocco Rocks!


I met Chef Rocco DiSpirito, who did a cooking demonstration at the Taste of Atlanta event. Afterwards, he gave away free copies of his new cookbook, Real Life Recipes! Unfortunately he ran out of cookbooks. But, he had 1 more and gave it to me! He even signed it personally!

He was extremely nice and funny. Chef Rocco started attending the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) at the age of 16!! His advice for young people is to get a lot of cooking experience before studying overseas. He even said that I am old enough to work at a real restaurant with my mom if we volunteer to work. He said I can learn a lot volunteering at a restaurant. The Taste of Atlanta event was really fun. Here is a video of my chat with Chef Rocco:

Hi Lizzie Marie! I was in Atlanta on a business trip and I went to Taste of Atlanta — it was very fun. How cool that you got to meet Rocco!
