My sister and I had both pretend soup, and honest pretzels growing up. We would both make food based on the recipes in the book, and then "sell" it to our parents. We each had pretend restaurants, and would compete with each other. Whoose customers were the parents, and visiting relatives.

Oh, Pretend Soup is one of the best children's books I've ever found! I have tried many, upon many, but this one really take the cake! Honest Pretzels is great, too, but for older children. I really liked PS for pre-school age children, personally. :)
