Yes, in my daughter's mind McDonald's is the ultimate in fine cuisine. She actually shuns my grilled cheese sandwiches (as IF!) and demands a Sonic "cheese sandwich." I even tried making a mock Sonic grilled cheese, and she spotted the fake a mile away. Whatevvverr!

This frosts me
This unannounced cooking bee

Where was I
Not there, but why
Why wasn't I a player
For each and every layer

To point and to heckle
every dropped speckle

And roll, prod and pry
For some topping on the sly

It just goes to show
Grandpas like cake too, you know

The "cooker girl" reference made me laugh; that's how Nicholas refers to me and the people who make chicken nuggets at McDonalds - "good cookers." Still haven't decided if that's a compliment or not. ;)
