“Kids Cook 1-2-3″ cookbook

100_3586-copy.JPGDo your kids like to read? Do they like to cook? Well, I have a book that’s double the fun - “Kids Cook 1-2-3” (Bloomsbury Childrens Books), by three-time James Beard award-winner Rozanne Gold.

This book is absolutely great in introducing young chefs to cooking by using only three ingredients per recipe, with super easy methods. Like Bowties with Broccoli (broccoli, unsalted butter, and bowtie pasta) or Parmesan Fries (Idaho potatoes, vegetable oil, Parmesan cheese), or Smiley Eggs (eggs, unsalted butter and pesto). How much easier could it be? Mom and/or dad should still supervise, though.

The 100-plus recipes are all kid tested too, because Gold enlisted 10 young chefs (five girls and five boys) to cook and eat each recipe in the book.

You can find the book at any bookstore or online.

Happy cooking!
