Kids’ Mouthwash Recall
I know we talk about eating good food on Kids Cuisine, but I thought it would be worth mentioning, if you haven’t already heard, about Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) recall of its children’s mouthwash — Listerine Agent Cool Blue plaque-detecting rinse. The two flavors affected are Glacier Mint and Bubble Blast.

According to J&J, the kids’ mouthwash may be contaminated with microorganisms. Yuck! They’re saying they conducted a thorough assessment and concluded “that the risk of illness in healthy individuals following use of this product is very low. However, there could be a significant health risk to individuals with weakened or suppressed immune systems.”
So far their have been no reported adverse health events. Thank goodness!
I guess there are about 4 million bottles out in the market, so check your bathroom or wherever you keep your mouthwash.
You can call J&J at (800) 223-0182 for more information about the recall, or visit www.agentcoolblue.com. I’ve also heard you can return the mouthwash to the store where you bought it and get a full refund.

I bought this mouthwash for my daughter. She used it for two days and then broke out with a rash. The doctor couldn’t figure it out..said he never seen anything like it. I told him that was the only thing new that she had used. I had her quit using it until the rash went away.(at least 1 month). Then she used it again…that is how I realized that it was the mouthwash. Now she has a couple of scars around her mouth from it. she had used other mouthwashes before and had no problem. What could it have been that gave her the rash?
