Inviting Dr. Seuss Into Your Kitchen
Even as a grown-up, I’m a big fan of Dr. Seuss. I still think “Oh, the Places You Go” is a great “career path” book, and The Cat in the Hat is right up there.
That’s why when I saw the semi-new Green Eggs and Ham Cookbook, I found it a little hard to resist. I mean, really… cooking AND Dr. Seuss? All in the same package? Hello?
The edible delights in the cookbook are pulled right from the pages of your favorite Dr. Seuss tale, and include the more complex recipes to Seuss classics (yup, Green Eggs and Ham is in there). You’ll find recipes for Pink Yink Ink Drink, Daisy-Head Mayzie Burgers, Moose Juice, Sneetch Salad, Oobleck, and Solla Sollew Stew. And we all know that the more fun a dish sounds, the more interested your kids will be in it.
Each recipe includes verse from the original Dr. Seuss tale that inspired it, and while this cookbook might be targeting the suggested age of 9-12, with a little help from you, kids of all ages can enjoy it.

I think you underestimate kids. With the type of graphics kids are exposed to, the eyes must be fed first, thus the bento box cuisine. A little of everything they like, a lot of color and of course a palette of flavors.but by simply adding food coloring to food, I don’t think kids will go for that anymore. At least pre teens and teens.
