Subway revamps kids’ meals

Many of the major fast food chains have been working to improve the nutritional value of their kids’ meals. For the most part, this means changing up the sides, replacing fries with carrots. Subway, however, seems to be going a little further. They have just released a new plan for kids’ meals that includes a small, healthy sandwich, apples or raisins, and milk or juice. The comparison between the Subway meal and McDonald’s and Burger King is striking; the Subway meal is around 315 calories if you get juice, while the BK meal is 530 calories and 16 grams of fat!

The American Heart Association has approved these meals as heart healthy, and there is lots more information on the Subway site about ways to stay fit.
