Kid-Friendly Map
I’ve mentioned Gastrokid before on Kids Cuisine… it’s a great site run by two dads who are looking for ways to expose their kids to some great food. In addition to frequent postings on recipes, news, and reviews, Gastrokid has an amazing feature in their Kid Friendly Restaurants of the World map.
This Google Maps interface shows restaurants from Atlanta to Australia that are inviting to kids. Each flag offers address and contact info as well as a short review. Though there aren’t any restaurants currently listed in my area (I guess I should get on that…), I was intrigued by The Baby’s Lounge in Geneva, Switzerland. My French isn’t good enough to figure out all the details, but so far as I can tell, it’s a store and restaurant specifically designed for babies and toddlers. How cool is that!
The map at Gastrokid continues to expand as readers submit restaurants they have experienced. Go check it out! More importantly, the listings will only be as good as what they receive, so if you know of a great restaurant for families, please submit it. I know there will be many families grateful that you did so.
