On the Prowl

I’m always looking for new recipes.  In particular, I’m looking for recipes that my children can help me prepare.  Right now they have such a desire to help me in the kitchen that I just hate to turn them away.  Quite often, though, the things I am cooking don’t really need the assistance of little fingers.  I hate to ignore those little people who want to help, and I can’t help but think that I need to strike while the iron is hot.  The Recipe Ladies to the rescue.  One home economist and one teacher have combined forces to present a compilation of family-friendly recipes that are sure to please and be healthful at the same time.  They also happen to have an entire collection of recipes specifically for kids who cook.  These recipes help kids to learn basic cooking skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives.  With fun-sounding recipes like Cheeseburger Pie and Honey Drummies, there’s sure to be something for every young foodie-in-training.  You can check out their collection of kids cooking recipes here at Kids Cooking.
