Cooking webcast for kids by kids

More on those crazy kids from Spatulatta:

You love Julia Child, but your kids just don’t get it, right? We have the solution: Isabella and Olivia Gerasole, preteen sisters from Chicago, run an awesome web site, www.spatulatta.com, that features webcasts of their favorite cooking tips.

The girls put up a new, short video each week featuring one or more of their favorite recipes. Their food is always fun, healthy, and surprisingly creative. Each episode is themed. The recent “Undersea Adventure” episode featured Mermaid’s Pocket, Sea Turtle Taters, Sailboat Salad, Tropical Trifle, and an Aquarium Placemat.

The website also has a section on basic cooking techniques, as well as a small store where you can by cute aprons that match Isabella’s or Olivia’s.

NPR interviewed these guys earlier this year as they were putting together their Mother’s Day videocast. The sisters’ excitement over winning the award and being interviewed is priceless.

So gather the kids around your screen and start their culinary education!
